Performative explorations are at the basis of Linda Semadeni’s work, within which repetition takes a multidimensional role. Most recently, Semadeni transformed a sentence into an expansive floor painting, via repitition, stretching and twisting. In her current works, she continues these movements and explores them anew. Seeing destabilizes itself and is set in motion over and again. 

Song of the Sensitive is Linda Semadeni’s second solo exhibition at Kirchgasse. As winner of the Manor Art Prize 2023, a solo exhibition at the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur will follow in February. 

Linda Semadeni (*1985 in Bern) lives and works in Zürich.

Linda Semadenis Arbeiten unterliegt ein performatives Erkunden. Dabei spielt Wiederholung eine mehrdimensionale Rolle. Zuletzt transformierte Semadeni mittels Wiederholung, Dehnung und Verdrehung einen Satz in eine raumgreifende Bodenmalerei. In ihren aktuellen Arbeiten führt sie diese Bewegungen weiter und lotet sie neu aus. Sehen destabilisiert sich und wird in Bewegung versetzt. 

Song of the Sensitive ist die zweite Einzelausstellung von Linda Semadeni in der Kirchgasse. Als Gewinnerin des Manor Kunstpreises 2023 folgt im Februar eine Einzelausstellung im Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur.
